New baby ball python won't eat, help?

I got a 6 months old Baby Ball Python 2 weeks ago, she is in a 20 gallon tank (she is in my room so there isn't much traffic"), temp on the hot side is about 92 and in the cool side at 80 (I do have a heat lamp and a belly heating thing), she is sleep most of the day although she likes sleeping outside her hide and prefers sleeping in top of the vines, the previous owner told us she ate frozen fuzzies, she is not shedding, she has a hide in the hot side (I know plenty of ball pythons that don't have one in the cool side).
We tried feeding her when she arrived because that's when she was supposed to (we knew she needed a week to get used to but tried anyways, of course she refused), we gave her a week to settle in and tried again with the Frozen Fuzzie but she refused (we handled her a couple of times so we figured out we didn't let her completely get used to her new environment), we tried again a week later (without handling her) and she refused again. Any advise?

There could be a couple of reasons why. A 20 gallon might be to big for a baby and maybe she prefers live fuzzies. I had the same problem with my first baby ball python so I put him in a small container with a live fuzzy even tho I was told it ate frozen and he ate over night. After that he rarely misses a meal

Sometimes 20 gallons are to big. Something like a 10 gallon or tub makes them feel more safe and secure. It also helps in not wasting to much energy trying to catch a live mouse.

Try to locate a small live adult mouse. However whats more important is adjusting the size of the enclosure, it's really way too large. Use the search bar here on Bp.net and type in "Hatchling 101" for great tips on setting up the proper enclosure. :gj:

Use a tub. With a simple hide and water bowl setup. Something like a 14 liter one, maybe one size up depending on how much your snake weighs.. And try bigger prey items, maybe even a live one to get the feeding response going. Mouse fuzzies are way too small for a 6 month old BP. My two month old Mojave, who's an absolute garbage disposal eats 30 gram rat pups. Live or frozen, she doesn't care.

No need for an overhead heat lamp with the tub. Just a UTH with a thermostat. Easiest setup ever, but they thrive in it. Ask all of mine, they will tell you. Lol
