    Big updates
Hey, some of you may remember me from back when I got my little buddy, Marshall. Since then, Marshall has reached 1506g and is about 3 1/2 ft long. Over the last year I've been thinking about breeding ball pythons and I finally took the plunge and made an 8 bin rack and picked up 3 more snakes: a female lesser, female mojave, and a male mystic spider. With any luck, I can produce some nice morphs. Upon purchasing these snakes, I took Marshall with me to get him sexed. The petstore I got him from had said he was a male pastel. He's not a pastel, possibly a fire, but I don't know for sure until I prove her out. Yup, they sexed her wrong too! Marshall is a breeding size female, and I'm very intrigued to see what comes from her. All my new additions are feeding amazing and they are all nice tempered, except the mojave. I don't think she's being aggressive, but she bites everything. It's quite bizarre, much like a woma pythons behaviour. She slowly comes up close to her target(my shirt sleeve, pajama pants, and housecoat so far, sensing a theme?) and stops abruptly, and then very slowly opens her mouth to bite on. Once she realizes that it's not food, she lets go instantly. She hasn't actually bitten me yet, just my clothes as I have the time to pull my clothing away from my skin before she bites. When I fed her she struck and coiled, but even two days after feeding she's acting hungry. Any insight on this? It seems so weird for a ball python to act this way!

Do you hear any sounds if you put your ear up to your Mojaves mouth? Clicking or popping?

Nope. She hissed during feeding but that's it. Mind you, I haven't gotten terribly close to her mouth. What makes you think a possible RI?

It's just very abnormal for one to open its mouth like that all the time. Does it open its mouth in its enclosure too?

Well she doesn't just open her mouth, she bites. She even coiled once. It's as if she is tasting to see if it's food. She really has a thing for furry/fuzzy fabrics, I imagine because it's like the fur on rats. I think it's a feeding response. She doesn't open her mouth unless she's about to bite.
