    First lock of the season
Started dropping the nighttime temps Oct. 1 and placed them together last night. Woke up this morning and checked on my way out the door headed to work. Success! Pairing is albino black pastel to black pastel het albino. This will be the first season for both and my first clutch in over 20 years. Needless to say my kids are super excited, wish I could say the same for the wife.

Will do! I would have provided pictures but I did not want to try to explain the appropriateness of snake porn to a 9 and 11 year old on my way out the door.

By the way, we are fully aware of the challenge and risk associated with super black pastels. We have also done a ton of research and based on what we have seen the issues seem to be less prevalent in clutches incubated at lower temperatures so we are making sure the uncubator we build will be very accurate so we can keep temps at the lower end of the spectrum. Our goal is a flawless blizzard and super black pastel but we will be happy with any healthy babies we get.
