Scent gland discharge?

So I recently picked up a new 8 ball girl and when I popped her to double check the sex, a substantial amount of brown... paste? came out of her scent glands. She's popped female for me and the owner so I'm not concerned about the sex but I am concerned about the brown discharge. It's stopped now, almost as if there's no more brown substance to discharge. Has anyone ever seen this?

Nope. It came out of the scent glands. It was akin to like the pus coming out of a pimple or cyst but was coming out of the scent glands.

Did it smell really bad?
If so, perhaps it was musk?

I've only had to deal with my amazons musking so far *knock on wood*
theirs is more of a grayish color and it has a texture more oily than watery and boy does it stink!

It had no smell actually. It was just like a paste.

How old? Maybe it's breeding season?

How big/ old is said snake? Sound like sperm plug to me.

I was told a year old and she's around 250grams. She's 100% female though. Whatever it was coming out of was not a hemipene. It didn't look like sperm plugs either. I wish i had pictures but i "cleared" it all out.
