Feeding Juvenile Dumerils Boa
I have a 3 month old that I got last weekend. I tried feeding a f/t hopper mouse, which is what he was eating, on Thurs but he refused. Do you think it's too soon to try again (it's been 3 days)?

He's actually been pretty lazy. He moves, I just never see him actually moving. But an hour ago I looked in and he was pushing on the top of his tub trying to escape. I know the standard wait time for BPs is a week, wasn't sure if it was different for young boas.

I think with a large enough meal, you can push feedings to once every 4-6 weeks once they're adults (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Their metabolisms are slower than a ball python's, so they don't need to eat as often. As long as you're feeding appropriately sized meals, once a week should be perfect :gj:
Yeah, that's what I plan on doing. The issue is he hasn't taken a meal since I got him and am wondering how long to wait to wait to try again.

I tjink the general rule is to wait at least 4/5 days between refused feedings

Whoops, sorry! I agree with what others have said - wait at least 4-5 days. When I have one that doesn't eat, I don't usually offer again until the next week, to keep everyone on the same schedule. That also makes it a little more likely that they'll eat, since they'll be a bit hungrier.
