    Irritated!!!!!
I have a normal ball python female, about 2500 grams who's driving me insane!! Everyday, no matter what, no matter what I do differently, empties her water dish and destroys her cage...I am tired of cleaning her cage every single morning! A buddy of mine breeds Boas and has some monstrous 8+ footers, he gave me tips on what to do differently, and she still empties it! I'm now desperate lol ANY IDEAS?! I used a glass bowl (emptied), I got a huge glass bowl (Emptied) I started only putting 1/2" or so of water in it so that when it's spilled it's not so bad (still bad) I switched to these big black oil pans that absolutely cannot be flipped completely upside down and put just enough water in it for her to drink (still empties it). I don't know what else to try! She's in an FX 48X24 cage (similar to the boaphile but cheaper and certainly weaker), her temps and husbandry are on point, every snake in my reptile room has clean/full sheds every time, she does not have mites, she might have just started to shed but she's been doing this for a long time so that's not the reason. I'm to the point of gluing her water bowl to the cage lol I was going to actually write this post yesterday but forgot, changed something last night, and yet again, destroyed cage this morning! Momma is a stubborn girl! (Her name is Momma)

That's the same bowl I use with my retics and large adult boas. Those don't get dumped.

Now that said, the snake may climb in and displace the water immediately after using it as a potty, but the bowl at least doesn't get flipped over.

I have found some heart shaped glass candy dishes at the dollar store. They are about 2 1/2 inches tall and maybe 5 to 6 inches across and pretty heavy. Because they are straight walls with an irregular shape, I have never had a dish flipped. I keep about 3/4 inch of water in them. Further, because they are not very wide across, the snake doesn't typically climb in a displace the water. Best thing is they are only a dollar because they are at the dollar store. May want to give'm a try.

    Metal non tip
Those are the same metal non tip bowls I use for my problem snakes. I have one that will climb in any bowl but those. For some reason he doesn't like sitting in them. One tip, if you use paper on the bottle don't put it on top of paper. I have some that go under the paper and can then tip those. I cut the corner out and place them directly on the tub for those trouble makers. Actually, the only way they have ever spilled is because I left them on the paper and the snake was able to flip them

Your post is timely. I was just watching a video today that dealt in part with tipping water bowls. Fast forward to 2:38 and never mind the title of the video it has nothing to do with solving the problem of tipping water bowls.

    Good Luck!

Is this where Brian talked about putting the rock in the bowl? (Can't watch it right now.)

I feel your pain. Mine doesn't dump her water, but she moves her hides around. Sometimes she flips them upside down. I need to put her in time out.
