    First time breeder question
I just did my first pairing (pastel OD X mojave spider). I put them together last week and he went blue the next morning so I pulled him out until he shed. I put him back to her shortly after he shed and he didn't wag but immediately curled his tail upward. Is this a good sign? I haven't witnessed a lock yet but they are hanging out really close to each other so I assume that's positive. Any feedback would be welcome. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e4e06cac2a.jpg

This is a pic of them this morning.

You will not always see lock especially at the beginning or even see any at all, you will however see other signs.

As far as keeping them together or separating them if the time is up depending on how you pair your animals just separate them until you pair them again next time.

To give you an idea I pair two days at the time and do so once a month twice if I do not see anything encouraging.

It takes a while and several pairing usually not much is going on with the first pairings unless your female is already developing follicles when you first introduce the male.

I palpated her before I started and she seemed to be developing follicles. She was wrapped around her water bowl for a few days and soaking her tail. They seem to get along so I'm going to keep the regular pairing schedule and see how it goes. I've heard of wagging but couldn't find anything about the male turning up tail.

I've only ever heard of females tail lifting

    Interesting pair for sure :)
