A qustion about basic morphs.

please forgive a noob breader for what might be a stupid qustion.
Do I have a chance of getting Any of the basic morphs lets say a spider if i mate two wild types. Or how do I get them

Hi, to get a spider, one of the animals would need to be visually a spider. Breeding two normals together would only yield normals unless they both were Het ( carrying ) the same recessive gene like albino or pied or any of the other recessive genes. There are plenty of sources on here that explain the difference between dominate, co doninate and recessive genes. Do a search for that for a better explanation.

No. You can not get any morph by breeding two wild types. To get a spider you must have one parent that is spider since that's a co-dom gene. The only time you can get a morph out of a wild type looking parents is if they are both heterozygous for a recessive trait such as albino.
