Raising breeders fasters

Is there any way to raise a male or female breeder faster. Quickly getting it to the right weight and maturity.

I wouldn't recommend doing that, some people can but you can have consequences in doing this and it doesn't guarantee they won't go off feeding if you do this.

If you're goal is to breed, get a proven breeder.

I am a firm believer that slow and steady wins the race :)

Healthy growth is much better than fast growth. I wouldn't try to rush it.

There is more to a healthy sexually mature snake than pure weight. Power feeding leads to obesity and often lower fertility.

Why?

Maturity is maturity 2 or 3 year are not gonna go by in half the time because you want it.

Breeding is a matter of weight, maturity and proportions. Even an animal with proper optimum weight and age is not always optimal for breeding.


You want your breeders to get big as fast as possible by over feeding them here is what will likely happen.

They will at some point fast to catch up and than refuse to eat for 6 months to a year.

They will keep eating and become overweight, a male will than be a poor last breeder, the female will be at high risk to Doug out, and I won't even get in the details of the risk caused by over feeding such as fatty liver disease.

This is not a race, there is no cheating, this requires respect for the animal and PATIENCE.

You can grow a BP bigger, but it would be offset by having lousy luck actually breeding it. Females grown fast tend to be fatter and not as good of a producer, same for males. So you'd get to try to breed earlier but have lousy clutches or none at all.
