Security in tubs and RACKS!!
So to further my collection, I want to buy a rack. Cserpents lives close to me and has some great reviews, so that's a plus. Now, I'm Interested in getting their sub adult rack (basically 28qt sized tubs). They also sell dividers for this specific rack so this is my question, can I fit in 2 hatchling ball pythons In one tub IF they have the divider? My 300 gram boy I'm pretty sure is going to be just fine, but what about future hatchlings?
2nd question
My Sammy Is in a 15qt tub, however it isn't in a rack. I have heard that this can stress him out a bit, so you guys got any tips? I heard putting a towel over the tub is good as well.
EDIT: Humidity question in racks.
When I watch youtube videos of breeders and such with they're racks right, I see that they don't have any holes. Does this mean humidity is perfect? Or do you still have to pluck holes Into the tubs?
Thanks! Daniel.
Re: Security in tubs and RACKS!!
For the dividers if one bp is on each side sure you can put two in one tub. I my self thought about getting the dividers but just got another rack instead.:D
For the 15qt maybe put it in a corner or something. Feel free to improvise something like a towel, cardboard or maybe paper to cover up parts of the tub but if he's eating and acting normal maybe don't bother. My quarantine tub is in the front room and other then the paper that's in the tub it's pretty opened and exposed. All of my bp's that quarantined there did fine. They just hid under the paper.
As for the humidity. I have two c serpent 28qt racks and i only spray when their shedding and they do just fine no respiratory problems with a chicago climate. Now your in florida so either the natural humidity will be enough or maybe it'll be to humid and you need to drill holes. I guess you'll have to gauge the humidity and play around with the set up a bit. Hope this all helps best of luck.
