    Anyone use ups battery backup?
    Anyone have battery backups for thermostat and heat tape in case of power outtage?

    Yes, I do. I have my heat strips plugged into my VE-300 which is plugged into a UPS battery backup, helps for power surges too. I have this one:

    During power outage my concern is not the hot spot but the overall ambient temp which I wan to be maintained at 75 at the very minimum, since I have a lot of animals the solution to keep the room warm is a Buddy Heater, I also have a generator to keep the lights in the house, freezer, fridge and incubator running, and of course a fire place for the human and furry creatures.

    How long does is last with no power while controlling thermostat and heat tape?
