What time of year to you pair up your ball pythons to breed?

This is my first breeding season with ball pythons and I plan on breeding a four year old male spider pied and a four year old Jungle Woma Spider female. So they are both ready to breed, just wondering when people usually pair them up. Does anyone have a general timeline of how long it takes from pairing to laying eggs to hatching? I'm thinking I should time it so that I can ship baby snakes in warm weather instead of in the middle of winter, I guess that's why they time it? Seems like this time of year everyone has baby snakes, so maybe most people are on the same schedule?

I was actually going to try to pair up my Australian Woma with my ball python and make a hybrid, but I thought I'd start with the Jungle Woma and the pied first. My new plan is to try to make Jungle Woma pieds and Super Jungle Woma pieds. This first time around I'll make Jungle Woma het pieds and Spider Jungle Woma het pieds. Then if I get a male I'll grow him up and cross back with the female to try to get visuals. If I have luck this year with the babies I may try the hybrid thing next year just for fun!

You can pair them anytime they are big enough. Personaly I started my pairings last week. As far as how long it takes, you can have a timeline after ovy but they go when hey are ready here is a link to help. http://ballpython.ca/breeding/

When they are ready :gj: I breed year round, I concentrate my pairing efforts during storms, or cold front or low pressure. I also know and observe my animals.

I pair just about all year, usually only once a month. Don't think getting them to lock every week will make her ovulate any faster. Like Deborah mentioned, it seems like they lock up faster on those stormy nights.

I've noticed rain tends to help them get going as well, or any change in the weather for that matter. I tend to pair up starting in November just because it works for me and lines up with what their "normal" schedule would be. But like others have said, once my collection is better established I might try that and see what happens. Although I have heard that they can realistically only produce one clutch per year.
