    Orange stuff in urate?
My young BP who arrived last week (around 200g) had normal looking white urates a few days ago- he had urates again today and it had this orange stuff in it, with some brown smudges on the paper towel nearby? It wasn't poop..

Any idea if this is normal and what causes it?

Did you get any photos of it? What was his last meal? The only thing orange off the top of my head could as a long shot be blood?

    Woops, I mean *she..

Her last meal was a rat pup just yesterday. I threw it away, but it's still in the trash LOL, so I'll go get a picture..

    It was solid orange stuff.

Here's the pic... No idea where that brown print could've come from either, because there was no poop.

Wow rs, that looks perfectly normal to me. Chalky white urates with some products of urea, bilirubin and nitrogen from the bladder. I don't see any blood.
