I feel so accomplished right now!! Got my baby ball to eat frozen thawed for the first time ever after countless attempts of her striking and constricting without following through and actually eating it. It was the most frustrating (and not to mention gross to clean up) thing trying to get her to eat f/t. However, technically this rat was more of a fresh killed than a true f/t. They were out of frozen at the pet store so they were able to, well, kill three of the live ones they had as feeders.
I have spent so much money on stupid frozen rats that have all been wasted until today! I'm so proud of her. It took some prodding and she wasn't interested at first but she eventually took it which I'm so happy about because at the store the fuzzies looked just about the right size but when I brought them home I noticed they were just a smidge larger than the widest part of her body. So I decided to try anyway because she was hungry and they truly were almost exactly her size, but I didn't expect much let alone her to actually eat it. However she ate it like a champ! Took her a few tries of attempting to eat it butt first, but she eventually found a way to fit it down. This is my first bally python, so the excitement is all there! Wasn't complete f/t, but a step in the right direction! Proud snake mama right here.

Don't you just love it! There really is no better feeling than not having to waste a defrosted rodent on feeding day.

Thank you!! It felt soo good to see her full belly when I moved her from her feeding bin to her cage. I got to hold her last night, I gave her three days to digest since this meal was bigger than shes used to, but she looked like a happy snake. She just chilled in my hands for the most part.
