Unknown ball pythons sold as dinkers from a local breeder

My guess is one is fire type and one unknown with lots of holes and deep color crisp and clean. The holey one has a weird head stamp and the fire looking one looks like he has a flame symbol on head very light but still noticeable

All Dinkers are normal, it's up to you to decide whether you think the project is worth investing your time into proving it otherwise. Normals can have clear bellies and/or "headstamps" similar to proven morphs and not be genetic, that is the chance we take(and half the fun) when we pay for the animal. Best of luck with proving them out in the future.

Most of mine are dinkers and imported :) thats all ive purchased and thats why the name dinker sticks.

While I am no expert at identifying a dinker, you really can't prove anything until you breed all of these snakes you are posting. I am not saying that the snakes aren't nice looking but you have posted several dinker threads. Breed these snakes and then post your results.

Reason im posting is so i can get peoples opinions on what might be possibly going on genetically. In order to prove it out yes i would need to breed but for now im just posting threads with my snakes that were purchased as dinkers/wc/ch so i can get feedback.

The consensus on almost every thread is there. The only person not convinced is you- posting more photos of nice normals is just that until, as everyone has said, you prove them out.

I think the real power of a 'dinker' is the possibility of a recessive mutation that is new and breathtaking, that's where you can make some big money and a name for yourself. I'd breed those out and then breed the babies together to see if you can tease out any recessive morphs. That's basically how it all started. I'm not quite sure how we got so many co-dominant and dominant morphs, we surely didn't get them that way as imports? Maybe just a freak co-dom popping out from a couple of mormal looking dinkers? There's also the possibility that you have a 'hidden' enhancing gene that won't really pop until you breed it to other morphs. Take a look at the Specter and Yellowbelly, both are pretty normal looking snakes until you combine them and get an allelic combo that really pops (a Super stripe).
