    Snake on the loose
Last night I forgot to place something heavy on the lid of my enclosure and now my Spider Ball is some where in my garage..
This is like the 4th time within a month..

In a garage? Holy crap, not good. Sounds like its time to move it out of the garage seeing as tho winter is coming and garages can get cooler than whats good..and perhaps invest in a secure habitat.

Hope you find it. Good luck.

Using heavy objects to secure a lid isn't very effective. You may want to try binder clips, bungy cords, or you may have to switch enclosures altogether.

with my experience ( I am a professional at having my snakes get loose lol ) they usually end up at the same spot each time. or one of the few spots they like :p

Put the heat mat out somewhere. Turn it on, if it gets cold, it could wander over there. I've heard of quite a lot of success that way.

    Jeanne,

I live in San Antonio, TX.. it's going to be 91 degrees today, there really is no winter in Southern Texas.. I will move them in January-March... And I keep a really clean garage.. I'll post pics of it later.. but I did clean everything out with no luck.. I even went in during middle of the night hoping to catch her crawling around

I'll try that even though it stays warm in the garage due to this Texas weather.. But I will definitely try that tonight..

    Thanks

    1) If you've been outsmarted by an animal that's not capable of logical reasoning 4 times in the last month, it's time to do something different. Like 3 times ago.

    2) Is your garage climate controlled? Average temps in San Antonio are not suitable for keeping a ball python there without taking proper steps in order to do so. How many months do you see that stay between 75 and 95?

    Hey Erin
thanks for the Information (In Celsius).. Keep in mind I just got my snakes a month ago.. the temp in my garage stays with the range you mentioned.. When the temps get cooler they will be moved inside.. I posted this topic for information..I hope this doesn't turn into a bashing... Once again THANKS eric !
