    Red Albino to Albino
Hello, just getting into breeding hognoses and have a question. Sorry if it is a noobie one or a repost.
I have a female het albino hoggie and was looking to get a male. I was searching around and found a red albino male.
Are these different strains of albino or the same?
Or in other words, if I bred these snakes would I get any phenotype results or just have hets for one or both traits?

They are Albinos however those (or purple line albinos) were selectively bred to achieve those results.

If you breed a red albino to an albino you will produce albinos.

Personally I would try as much as possible to breed red albino to red albino those are the best looking ones out there.

Just look at 99% of the "red" albinos for sale - they're not even close to red. Likely from people buying one expensive red albino, and then out-crossing it to cheaper normal albinos. Everyone seems to think all the offspring are red albinos, and the classifieds are now inundated with ads for reds that look no better than any run of the mill albino. It's pretty uncommon to find a real red albino in the US - seems most have been exported, as I see quite a few posted in Hong Kong and Europe.
