    She took her first meal
I brought Zawila home last Sunday (which was her scheduled feed day) but she wasn't interested in the rat, which was understandable since she was some place new, with a dead rat (she had been eating live mice. The rat was alive when i bought it but died of heat exhaustion so i threw it in the freezer).

I thawed the rat, threw in the bag of mouse shavings and then headed into the room. I left the lights low when i offered it to her.
It took about 15 mins (give or take a few) but Zawila got it done! I was so worried she wouldn't take it since she's been eating live mice but i thawed the frozen rat pup, did the dance and she started to uncoil, sniffing the air and showing interest. Her snap game is strong[emoji1] It took her a while to start swallowing but she did it! I'm so thankful that she not only took it, but actually ate it. I can't believe i just fed a rat to a snake😂.
