Going to try a Ball Python x Woma Python hybrid cross...
Has anyone here tried to cross a ball python with an Australian Woma python? I've seen them on the internet infrequently, they are called 'Wall Pythons', kind of a cute name! Do you know if the genetics from the ball python will carry over to the hybrid offspring? I'm going to try a five year old 'Jungle Woma Spider' female ball python with my 5 year old male Woma python, I'm hoping the Jungle Woma gene will reduce the Aus. Woma pattern and intensify the colors since the Jungle Woma is an enhancing gene. Maybe I'll get normal hybrids, spider hybrids, Jungle Woma hybrids, and Jungle Woma Spider hybrids? Should be an interesting project. I've seen quite a few people interested in buying hybrid babies as pets so I think I should be able to unload them pretty fast, probably not a good project for breeding the hybrids, but should make for some interesting and very unique pet snakes! I've also heard that a percentage of the young may be infertile, and not sure how many years it will take to get them to actually breed and lay fertile eggs... Not many people work with the Jungle Woma gene, these hybrids will be a worlds first for sure!

:D I absolutely love hybrids, especially walls. I was originally going to get a woma python to go with my butter ball because I just love walls and I think butter would be the perfect compliment to it

isn't quarantine at all. Ninety days is the minimum and honestly with adult critters that have had been exposed to a lot more critters than neonates, I would push it out to six months.
