Bearded Dragon Life Expectancy ?

I've heard that the avg. lifespan of a bearded dragon is about 10 yrs. Does anyone have personal experience in this subject, and if so, what have you encountered? My male is approacing 9 yrs. old, but still seems as active as he was when he was young.

The Breader I got my male from has a 13 y/o bearded which is the oldest she has ever had avg is around 8 years but 10 isnt unheard of.
