    UTH temperature
I'm trying to prepare a tub setup for a hatchling before i actually get one
I have a thermostat, digital thermometer, and an UTH. ive placed both of the probes on the UTH and im wondering since theyre directly on the UTH what temperature i should keep them at

also from what ive gathered is 70-80 degrees on the coolside and 80-90 on the hot side okay?

Digital thermometer probe placed inside under substrate and thermostat probed placed against the UTH on the outside of the tub
what temp should the digital thermometer be reading?

Probe should be placed outside the enclosure, between the UTH and the bottom of the tub.

Thermostat should be set to something around 91~93, to make a hot spot inside the tub of 90~92, when measured directly on the surface (no substrate). So if the snake burrows under the substrate, the temp is still safe.

You are set up correct... You do not ant the temperature more than 95 degrees on the flood surface of the tub.
Do keep in mind that your snake could move the thermometer probe.
