Need help identifying if my Banana has Fire
Hello Community! i just recently purchased a Banana Fire from a convention
but i needed help identifying if the fire gene is present.
he is still young about a little more than a foot long.
currently has his spots coming in too.
i don't have any belly shots but would not mind taking them if it helps!

Do you have any better pictures? I frankly don't see the fire pattern nor the colour of a fire.

Comparing a Banana and Banana Fire on WOBP, I can't even see the difference between the two.

I actually have a banana fire and the difference is hard to look for if you don't know the characteristics of fire. XD A big indicator of fire is the pattern and the head stamp that fires tend to have. Another indicator is the colour.

As Mike Wilbanks describes it: "The Fire softens the colors of the Coral Glow and at the same time brightens them. Just like most genes, Coral Glow is only made better by the addition of the Fire gene. The oranges turn yellow, the purples lavender and everything seems to be backlit."

    Picture of mine for reference.

Liek Wilbanks' description says, the oranges turn yellow and the purple turns into more of a lavender and the entire snake just gets brighter. Note: the huge amount of orange blushing in the lavender.

They should put yours on WOBP - the differences are less subtle. I can definitely see the differences between yours and a Banana Ball.

He looks a lot like my little banana who I thought had fire too. But Seven-Thirty cleared that up for me. Still, single gene bananas are stunning in itself! :)

    More pics!!!
here are more pics to help. if any angle needs to be better let me know since
this was the best i could get.
Either way he is BEAutiful snake and im happy
just hope the Fire is present since i want it for breeding purposes.
as mentioned earlier, the only thing i can make out is its blushed lavender thats leaning towards fire.
as far as the side patterns go i cant say im experienced enough to tell
but THANK YOU all for your help so far!

With certain combos it's tough when they are young fire, hypo are some of them.

Do you have any reason to doubt the breeder?

I frankly don't ssee it personally but, the main thing I look for would be the head stamp, but as it gets older it may start to brighten up, turn yellow, etc. So yeah. For now I wouldn't call it a fire.

Re: Need help identifying if my Banana has Fire
they had this one displayed as a "Banana Fire" next to one that was "Banana Poss Firefly"
and honestly, i didnt think the Poss firefly was Firefly at all.
now i personally am a bit past amateur when it comes to identifying combos
but their lack of being able to tell that much had me a bit on edge whether or not mine was actually fire too.
i dont blame them too hard as you said it is hard to tell when Banana/coral glow are so young
ill post more as it grows
