Do quarantine a snake that was shipped?
I have a snake coming soon and I didn't realize if I need to or not, I know you do this when bringing a snake home from a reptile show or pet store but what about shipped?

a minimum of 6 months in a different room (ideally a different building). Separate feeding forceps, water bowls, equipment, etc. Allow not contact between the new animal and the established. Insure you thoroughly wash your hands when moving between the two groups. Never offer a refused food from one to another. House on paper towels to allow you to determine any defecation issues or the presence of external or internal parasites.

Pretty much a straight forward process.

You quarantine any new snake regardless of how it's been acquired or who it's been acquired form.

Good quarantine means mite preventive treatment and isolation for 60 to 90 days (I do 90)
