Secure ball python cage

Hi me and my boyfriend just bought a juvenile ball python we have a glass cage with the top that folds in half. My boyfriend put 3 ratchet straps across the whole tank but we want a more effective way to make sure our snake doesn't decide to take an adventure out of her tank. I heard of those clips but I also heard a lot of bad reviews about them does anyone know a better way to secure her tank please help!

Get rid of that top, get a top that does not have that fold,get clips, the metal type.

Is it a screen top? If so the best thing would be to replace the screen top with acrylic or something so you can keep your humidity stable.

Also I would read this care sheet and make sure your setup properly with thermostat and everything.
