Question about my Python

Hey all

Just a question
My ball python has been fine since I have had her but recently she has been opening her mouth a lot more like she was gasping for air she also was rubbing her face on her hide.

I've read online that this might be r.I ?
I've taken a photo of her to see if anyone can notice anything strange about her face

She's my first snake she is healthy and the heat and humidity is always fine.

What is your humidity at and what are you using to measure it? I know that an red or inflamed throat is an indication of R.I. but you'd have to open her mouth

It's at 50 during night and 65 during day
Nothing looks inflamed when she opens up and the photo just brightened her nose up haha

I'm thinking of cleaning her vic out and giving her a bath see how she goes

No need to give her a bath, in fact if she is sick that will be stressful. When she yawns is there a lot of mucus? Can you hear her breathing?

There's a possibility that what you're seeing as "gasping for air" is just yawning. Ball pythons yawn a lot! But if she is just sitting there with her mouth gaping open a little for more than a second or two, or you hear little sounds when she's breathing, then it's probably RI.

Please post what equipment you are using to measure heat and humidity, and what you're using to heat the enclosure.

Okay no bath haha
And no to be honest everything looks normal nothing different except the fact she was rubbing her face and opening her mouth more regularly

I'm using a ceramatic lamb when heat drops highly and a heat matt
I'll have to get the photos tomorrow as it's 2am here

I have a digital monitor that says the temp and humidity

If their jaw isn't in just the right place they will yawn and rub to put it back. Did she eat before this happened?

No she didn't it's her feeding day Sunday/monday

Very strange I'll keep my eye on her
If she doesn't do it at all today does that mean it was just a one off ??
