Ball python help

So the other day I bought a ball python from pet smart because it looked so unhealthy. I've never had them and am learning about them now but I was wondering if I could tell how old he was? They didn't give me a paper about him or anything just his feed chart. I was wondering if someone could make me a list of everything for him I need and things to unstress him. Amdbhes got some thing that looks likes it trying to poke out the side if him but when I touch it he just acts fine and don't jump.

I would take him to a vet ASAP.

It would be hard to guess his age even with pictures as every ball python grows differently gram by gram. Also, if he was at petco/smart, odds are he was not eating correctly. On the feeding chart they gave you, does it have his past feedings while they have housed the BP? This may help approximate how long Petsmart had him but not his age.

All that aside, little one needs a vet. I would refrain from pressing on the bulge until xrayed.

Make sure you become familiar with a Herp vet close to you :)
