I have had my male 13 yr old bp 3 months now he came in a smelly dirty tank I moved him to a much bigger tank put in jungle mix a hide and water dish and small fake branch she had fed him frozen large he really didn't want to take them they seemed to large so I took a chance and fed him med live he LOVES it!!!! Ever since I fed him live he is more active and curious he loves to be petted on his head and held she said he never did that so is my bp happy?

A happy bp is an eating bp, but with that being said, there should be a hide on each side of his enclosure. One on the hot side and one on the cool. What are his temps and humidity? The humidity should be 50% to 60% when not in shed and 70% to 80% when in shed. The cool side of the tank shoukd be around 80 degrees and the hot shoukd be 90. Do you use an uth? Does it have a thermostat? How often do you plan to feed him? Most males don't need larger than a small rat, maaaaaaaaybe a medium, and no more than every 7 to 14 days.
