Stupid question ?

I've noticed that next to some people's posts or in the members list that they are listed as members while others are not. What is the reason for this?

"member" was a seconday user title that came as default in the forum software. Not sure if it was showing up before we updated the databases earlier today or whether that somehow refreshed it into displaying. It looks like it was causing "new Member" to be displayed twice below names in posts as well.
