1 year old ball python - meal size??
My ball python just turned 1, and she's 2 feet, and 337 grams. I've seen other year old bps that weigh a lot more. She eats a small mouse every 5 days. What size of mouse/ rat (she's been on mice all her life) should I be feeding her at her age, and weight? She isn't skinny but she's not a fatty. I'd like her to get up to a good weight though, but not to heavy cuz she's only two feet.

She also hasn't pooped in a month, and I am wondering if that is because she's only getting small mice?

    Thanks for any help :)

Feed a prey equal the girth size up until the animal is about 500 grams, usually around 100/125 grams they can take an adult mouse without any issue.

You snake is way overdue for a food upgrade, if you want to switch to rat offer a rat pup. (Same size than adult mouse) at first to make the transition easier.

Heck mines about the same age and weighs only 250grams or so. I wouldn't worry snakes grow at their own rate.

To an extent, yes. But a year old should weigh quite a bit more than 250g. My first thought when I hear that is an opportunity to improve on their care.

For perspective, this girl is 11 weeks old:
