    The other SD
    One more SD experience. She is a 2014 year. She is 50%. This one has very different from the SD tiger. The first pic is how I usually see her -if I see her at all-when I do my cage checks. She has never bitten or pooped on me but she is nervous about being handled. The tiger loves to roam and only hides when he is going blue. This one does not get to roam because she soon gets wedged behind something and then gets scared when she is retrieved. She is about 6 feet long and weights 4-5 lbs. Her head is teeny compared to the tiger.

    Here is another image to show her wild type pattern. Her browns are getting brighter as she gets older. She is calming down a little. When I do pick her up she only gets put down when she stops running and chills. (Her positive reinforcement is being left alone). A curious thing is that she is not hand shy whereas Mr. Nosey is.

    found her!!!!
    Thank God, Holy Mary mother of God and St. Veridiana she is back! I made a major mistake of taking her out when I was on sleep inducing medicine. Woke up the next day and the cage was ajar and she was out. Next day I heard a weird noise while I was cooking supper - aha under the oven!!! And then when I attempted to grab her, up the back of the oven ... oh no!!!. Tried the mouse in a box trick and delicious heated up chicken to lure her out.... nope. Asking a repairman if how he felt about snakes nixed that plan. Yesterday I started researching replacement stoves figuring I would just take her hiding place apart.

    This evening, eight weeks later. CRASH- BANG in the coldest room of the house. Silly creature was in there of all places. I am so relieved... I kind of want to keep the mice now, they are awfully cute.

    Maiden stretched out;
    Hi all here is my other SD all stretched out. She is a 50% from the sorely missed Vital Exotics. She is calming down a little -a year ago she would never hold still long enough for a pic like this. But the second you look the other way she tries to escape. She was getting a medium rat or two per week.

    her cute face
    Her eyes are different than the tiger. She is a lot more bug-eyed maybe because they are bright orange. The tiger has less obvious slit pupils.

    The pics are dark because I dimmed the lights in the room. She takes everything very personally.
