in tank ceramic heaters

i ask this question a few weeks ago, but for some reason I cant find it. I am looking for what Ithink is called an "in tank heater" I am building a 5 foot tall home for my ball and red tail. I am worried about the heat not moving down from the top. I can not seem to find the in tank heater and what t-stat would you use.

I think any of the usual thermostats should work.

Like above said radiant heat panels or rhp. Pro products and reptile basics sells good rhps. Reptile basics is cheaper but had limited options and pro products is more expensive but with tons of different options. Also if you email or call pro products and tell them enclosure size, house temp, and species they will tell you exactly what to order.

Spyder robotics Herpstat would be my first choice for thermostat, if you need to control more than one cage they also models that can control 2, 4, or 6 cages from one unit and temps can be set different for each one.

Did I read that right, 5 foot tall for a ball python?

Lol, that's going to be the furniture the actual glass area will probably be 3 by 3 and 2 feet deep. After talking with the ceramic heat panels manufacture it looks like I'm going to have heating problems trying to heat a three feet tall Aquarium. I was going to buy a 80 or 100 watt ceramic heater panel and then put a shelf about 12 inches or 15 inches below that for a basking spot. But I'm still worried about the other side.
My red tail boa loves to climb and the ball does a little bit but mostly the ball stays in his hide. So the big question is when you go to some of these pet dealers and they have a 6 cage how cage how are the heating it?

it looks like you said you are going to have your python and boa cohabitate. I honestly don't know for sure, but i suspect that may not be best for either animal, health or happiness-wise. Would be very interested to hear what more knowledgable members have to say on this. Regarding RPH's, they are great, but don't arrange them a way that the snake can easily touch it. They are not hot enough to instantly burn like a ceramic will, but they're still WAY too hot for the snake to sit on or against for any amount of time. In choosing, i would er on the side of bigger, you can plug it into a thermostat and/or rheostat to limit the output. Mine is plugged into a dimmer to keep the output just right, then the dimmer is plugged into a thermostat for redundant safety.

No I am doing two identical size terrariums one for each snake.

Did you talk to pro products? For the ball you could just make his cage 14-18 tall so that will give you room to add little branches or whatever for climbing but still have the rhp heat effectively, Idk if that's an option since I don't know the details of your project plan. Idk if this is what you meant when you said you were worried about the other side but The rhp will heat both hot and cool side since the heat will radiate towards the cool side.

You would need multiple heating devices for taller cages depending on species such as a rhp on each side, one to make your basking shelf correct temp and one to make your cool side correct but then you need 2 for each cage plus a thermostat that had 4 different zones like herpstat 4 but then you need the ground temp on hot side to be 90 for the ball so you would need uth and a Herpstat 6 unless ground is around 85 without uth. For the ball it would be easier and makes more sense to shorten the height and run one rhp to heat whole cage and put the climbing stuff in middle of cage and cool side so it's not directly under rhp so you can keep hot side ground and hide at correct temp. A bp would appreciate more floor space then a taller cage. I've never kept a boa and don't know environment or requirements so I can't comment on how I would set it up.
