Flexwatt efficiency on a full roll?
My thermostat is a herpstat single zone. Its an older model. 500watts

If i run 50 feet of 4 or 6 inch flexwatt, will the temps on the tape differ much from 1 foot to 25 and 50 foot Intervals?

If it is new it shouldn't. But think of it as a rear window defroster on a car....as they age the grid starts failing causing the window to only half defrost. But that will happen with any heat tape over time.

I don't run 50 feet, but I do have a single strand of 23 feet of 6 inch wide tape and the entire strand maintains the same temperature. Just make sure you don't leave any active heat tape rolled up or you might have a real problem on your hands. :P

It can depend on a few things like how well your connection is and could also vary piece to piece meaning 1 50 foot piece could have a fluctuation of 2 degrees and a different 50 foot piece could have a fluctuation of 5 degrees. When I was using flexwatt for leopard gecko rack I would see a different temps toward the ends of the tape and on different levels but it was fairly close but I have heard of people having quite wide fluctuations but could of been a simple connection issue. I switched all my flexwatt with thg tape from reptile basics and I like it a lot more.

I should add that I'm using THG heat tape, not flexwatt.
