^ I have to agree with Jordan and the above sentiments.
Be careful with poochie and snake!
Re: My snake bit my dog!!
It's furry has a higher body temp (compare to human) and has a smell so yes it's bound to happen.

Re: My snake bit my dog!!
She wasn't backing up from the puppy she was after her. Kind of a big Chihuahua mix. I thought it was a feeding response, but I also know my snake won't touch a rat, only mice so I didn't expect her to be interested in the puppy. It didn't cross my mind until she was after her fast and lunged at her. All I saw was open snake mouth coming at us!! I know I will never ever ever have those 2 together again. That was pretty scary.

Re: My snake bit my dog!!
How many grams is your snake?
If you are feeding her mice I must assume she is under 100g as most hatchlings can pound a pinkie rat with no problem.
If she is a small snake, I'm surprised you trusted her around a dog basically unsupervised.
If she's big and eating mice, there's your answer. She is underfed and hungry for Mexican. :taz:
Definitely scary, though. Glad no injuries came out of it.
EDIT #1:
Just reread the post. Curious as to why she is eating mice at 900g. Picky eater? I would recommend ASF as an alternative to ensure she is getting the proper nutrients.. Mice are very poor in nutrients.......

I didn't know mice were low in nutrients. I feed her up to 3 each week BC she will not eat a rat. I've tried and tried. She's very healthy. Gains weight fast. I was trying to get a pic up but my data is slow. But ill get one up. To me she's a big girl.
