Thinking about getting a Ball python

Hi,
I will soon be getting a baby ball python from a friend who breeds them.. First off i would like to note that i have experience with reptiles as for i had a cornsnake but had to give him away and now living with a full grown veiled chameleon. I was just wondering if there was anything new i should know about ball pythons?

I think the main thing is just husbandry. I'd visit the BP Husbandry forum. There are tons of stickies that might answer future problems that may (or hopefully may not!) come up like feeding issues, etc.:
