Karma did this last night and I'm just wondering why. She was hungry and was out of her hide and moving around as soon as she smelled the mouse. She didn't wrap it up, just bit it and had to work her teeth out of it for a few seconds and after that she balled up. I sat it in her hide and took it out in an hour and threw it away.
