    Snakes & hairclips
    Greetings from Lurkerville. ;)

Last night, my bp Severus & I were watching tv. As he normally does, he was crawling around & exploring. Somehow, & don't ask me how this happened, he got wedged in openings of the hair clip that I was wearing (& seemed to want to continue going through, even though he wouldn't have fit).

I was having a minor heart attack, & thought about what to do. Knowing that I couldn't pull on him w/out causing damage to him (I would have gladly sacrificed the hair clip), I remembered that he happens to be quite head-shy.

I moved my hand towards his face a few times, that startled him, & he was able to pull himself free. I immediately checked him over, & he was fine.

So, amigos, the moral of this long-winded story is this: do NOT wear hair clips while visiting w/a snake. Or, if you do wear a hair clip, make sure that any openings are too small for the snake to fit into.

    Pax,

Good advice! They DO like to wedge themselves into the oddest places.

Beware belt loops as well. I think Gin had to sacrifice a belt loop a while back, I think Apache got stuck.

Yes definitly watch out for belt loops.

My (3 foot very thick) Rebel tried to fit through one and ended up ruining my favorite (very expensive) jeans.

Heh - I hear ya. I refuse to pay that much for jeans and sunglasses - two items bound to encounter inescapable damage.

Soooooo snakes are like 2 year old kids then???? LOL Actually thanks for the advice as I do wear a lot of hair accessories to keep the wild mane outta my face. One of my crazy male rats has actually figured out how to pull off a hair scrunchie so my hair comes loose (all the better to hide in my dear!).

So far all we've seen Baby-for-now do is have a super time going in and out of my husband's work shirt breast pocket.

What is it with animals. I have quick thick long hair and the rats and the snake seem to think it's a hoot to hide in it. One experience with the bp and my hair was enough to make sure I always have it up as she won't stop trying to reach my hair if it's down (rats are the exact same way).

Wow! Glad you got him out safely.
Goblin got caught in one of my jeans' belt loops. Luckily my boyfriend was around and he quickly got a scissors and carefully cut the loop off the jeans. There was NO way Gob could have fit through, since he is thicker than a soda can!

Hairclips vary in form, shape and color. I believe that people like wearing hairclips as they make their hair attractive, and thus, creates attraction around themselves. Choose the beautiful ones, create a beauty out of yourself ;)
