Hello Im interested in keeping a GTP but not sure how much handleing you can do with these snakes. I have my eye on a Green Tree Pythons -

I'd recommend you get The Complete Chondro by Greg Maxwell and read through that first if you think you're going to be serious about keeping GTPs. As for top shelf exotics, go to fauna and check out the BOI (board of inquiry).

Just so you know, that is a hatchling and will not remain purple for long. They all turn green eventually :) Hence "Green Tree Python" ;)

Acutally, there is one non green GTP...and that's Floyd. He's the only albino GTP at the moment. He's yellow :)
    They're trying to make more.

there are alot of morphs now, check out chondroweb.com forums and greg maxwell's site. gtp's are mostly nippy and don't like alot of handling but some do take handling well. ask topshelf if they produced it or what country it hatched out in. here is a pic of my wamena male from kevin and charlotte of ectothermics. that baby in the ad will most likely look deep burgundy in person and slowly the green will fade in, really cool when they are changing colors.
