    Fader gene?.....
Hi....Can someone explain what it does... I was sold a male superfly that is maybe fader.... The babies and the dad are crazy looking... I've seen a lot of pics of them and none like mine....http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...7d12f1c3ae.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...78bcebea3f.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...851a8f3b70.jpg

Last time I looked into it, it wasn't a gene but a polygenetic trait.

Hey just wanted to share this. Its a picture from the ultimate morph maker guide. Now i understand that cause kevin is from nerd he might say whatever he'll say but to be fair when it comes to fader he's probably one of the best people that knows about it. With this said i'm not choosing sides on if its a actual gene or not or start a argument regarding if its a gene or not. I'm only showing this to try and maybe shed some light on fader.

Well if there was a hook line and sinker for it being polygenetic, this is it. That is exactly what he describes on that page, despite him consistently claiming it is a monogenetic for years. Guess 3+ people all had similar mutations spontaneously happen...

I think one reason fader isn't as popular is cause people aren't sure what to make of it and stuff like him claiming one thing then typing another in a book only adds to the confusion. Like you said after what he describes as a polygenetic well i guess that's what it is. Maybe he realized its polygenetic more recently. He did say their understanding it as they go. I do know after this thread i'm realizing i should give my killer bee fader more breeding plans.:gj:

While we don't seem to reflect it in monetary value, polygenetic traits are very valuable genetically. Get enough of those genes floating in your collection and you are sure to produce some killer animals that others could never produce without buying in or going through the same motions.
