Bp bitten by small rat. What do I do?

Once the rat died and he uncurled I saw the rat has bitten him by his mouth. I lifted him and shaking him gently caused the rat to let go.

It hasn't stopped him from continuing to eat the rat but I'm worried...

Other than switching him over to paper towel substrate and keeping it sanitary, what do I need to do? Apply neosporin? Does this require a vet?

I would just keep an eye on it in case it gets infected. Chances are its superficial and you don't need to do anything.

Vetericyn is better than Neosporin or Triple for reptile boo-boos; as a water-based gel it doesn't cause scale damage.

I'm planning on it, he was recently on a hunger strike so I'm just trying to get him eating regularly first. 3/5 of my BPs eat f/t but my adults are so stubborn!
