tell me if i have this right... please!

Goal is to produce a superfly.

To do this I need to produce a super pastel which means I need to breed a pastel to a pastel, which will give me a super 25% of the time.

Then I would have to breed that super pastel to a fire.

Is this correct?

Thanks for any help, just trying to get my head wrapped around this all, I was a dummy in school!

Firefly to pastel and you'll have a chance at superfly. Your best odds(taking out super fires) would be a superfly to a super pastel, then you'll get all super pastels with about 50% of them being superfly. In order to get a super pastel anything, both parents need to carry at least 1 copy of the pastel gene.

ok so lets say i have a pastel and a fire, to get the firefly i need to breed those 2 together to have a chance at a firefly. then breed the firefly to the super pastel? correct?

That'll work. Of course, you'll need to purchase the Super Pastel in order to make it happen.

Without making a purchase, and just the Pastel and the Fire, you'd pair those two and hope for a Firefly of the opposite sex of your Pastel. Then you'd pair that Firefly back with your Pastel for the Superfly.

ok thanks for the help here! i have been looking at super pastels so that should make my project go a little faster. i have been trying to figure out what i wanted my first project to be and i think i found it.

I play around on that genetic wizard all the time, but there are some things it wont let you put in there. I do love that site though!
