Tank sizing
Hello
I am getting a new tank, and setup for my BP as I have had him for about 3-4 years (I got him as a baby - I think 6 month old?) in a 20 gallon (30"W x 13"H x 12"D). I plan to do a bio-active setup for him - which I am guessing will take up about 6 inches in height.
I have 2 tanks to choose from, and was told there is a 50 gallon long tank, and a 60 gallon.
The 50 gallon I am pretty sure is a custom fish tank, and it does not have a screen top - no top actually.
The 60 gallon has a screen top, and was told it had standard a 60 gallon sizing - pretty sure it had Bearded Dragons in it at one point.
Dimensions: - The height is an estimate based off gallons and L and W, he didn't tell me height on either of the tanks.
50 gallon: 48"L x 13"W x 19"H
60 gallon: 36"L x 16"W x 24"H
Just want to get the right size for him so he is not stressed out and be able to have the bio-active 6 inch substrate.
Also my snake likes to climb around sometimes, not sure if it is because the tank he is in is small, or he just likes to do that.
Thank you for the help

A 40 gallon would be okay for him IMO

Re: Tank sizing
40 is more than enough, 50 and 60 you are gonna run into issue trying to keep proper Temps and Humidity which is typical with glass enclosures, that's why PVC cages are superior, also lighter.

Agreeing with others. My adult bp is in a 40 and while I love it for being pretty and giving the snake room any bigger and temp issues would be major. It would also be too heavy to deal with. This is as big as it gets without becoming more problems than benefit.
