    Weird rubbing?
So I was handling my ball python for the first time today since he's been with me. I got him Tuesday (July 19), he fed Friday (July 22) and it's been 48 hours since he ate. While I was holding him in my hand, he was wrapped around my wrist and was doing this weird rubbing? I'm not sure if he was trying to constrict me or, as I read a couple of articles, wiping mucus from his nose which is a sign of a RI. He looked fine to me, no signs of wheezing or heavy breathing. No mucus on his nose either. I haven't seen any mites on him, neither have I seen him soak. And I'm usually up late nights and can view him when he's the most active. I've noticed none of this behavior from him.

But he just did this for the first time. I'm getting concerned because perhaps I did too much research. Do any of your bps do this?
I have a short clip from snapchat.

I did handle him twice more earlier today for only about 5 minutes each time. He never did this. Should I be concerned? He's my firs pet snake and I really don't want anything to happen to him. :(

He looked like he was trying to shed. But he isn't. LOL. I don't have much experience with bps, so everything they do is new to me and sometimes can be alarming if I don't understand why they act that way :P Learning process I guess! Thanks:)

Could it be dry skin and there itching it due to low humidity? I'm not sure either. Just a guess

My humidity is constantly at 55%. It never goes below 53, and when I mist down the enclosure (usually once a day since it's humid here in NC), it'll go up to 65-70. I just placed tin foil on the mesh part though, so maybe my humidity will be at a constant of 58-60. Thank you :)

Before we start jumpig into conclusions, if not any other signs are present I would not consider an RI, Low Humidity, etc.

From my perspective it seems like the hairs in your arm were itching his snout, and since they can't really scratch themselves, they resort to rubbing the itching part against other surfaces (like they do when they're shedding).
A good way to confirm this is if he just does it when wrapping around someone's arm.

That's actually a very good possibility. Thanks! That eases my mind a lot
