    flex watt heat tape.
    looking to buy i see that big apple herb , reptile basics and the bean farm have the best prices but only the bean farm sells the plastic insulators i have never used the rubber ones how do they compare???
    any recommendations???? going to put it in melamine cage using foil tape to secure.

    Reptile basics has THG heat tape and the connectors are a little different from flex watt. RB will attach the connectors and insulator for you for a small fee. That's what I use and haven't had any issues.

    How does THG compare to flex watt? Sorry haven't owned reptiles in over 8 yrs when I was into them flex watt was all SH** ..

    I haven't used flex watt, but from what I can tell they're practically the same. I think THG is 12" wide compared to 11" for flex watt.
