    Striking
I have a small mystic that strikes at me every time I open his tub. I've had him for 5 months now. The first 2-3 days he was cool with me. Held him the first day for about an hour then put him in qt tank. After that I checked on him twice a day. Then on like the third day he started striking at me. I figured he was hungry so I dropped a mouse in and of course he ate it after a half hour of striking at it out of defense. He's been doing that with every meal.
Will he eventually grow out of this? And should I put him in my breeding program in the future?

I got a pastel mystic potion that's a little noodle who's like that I just put my hand over his head when I go to grab him and he calms down.

When they're little like that they can be nippy we outsize them considerably, very good chance he settles down as he grows. If you intend to breed him I would stay on that course.

Aw sounds like my super cin when he was a wee baby. I was worried he wouldn't grow out of it but he did, and I'm sure yours will too. It's a big scary world for those little guys. Once he starts putting on weight and getting used to you he should calm. And heck yes breed him. Any plans on what you'll be pairing him with?

I was doing that with gloves for a minute. In the last month I've been doing that without gloves. Getting a hook later today.
I got him way too early for breeding program. I have yet to get a female lesser. I only have a male lesser pastel yellow belly at this time. But price was hard to turn down

I can say he is my favorite out of my collection cause of that little attitude. Thank you for giving me the confidence that he will out grow it.
