Hannah what accounts for the large difference of price? I realize females are typically more expensive as a general rule of thumb, but is something else going on with CG/bananas?

I want to go to this so bad. I have never been to an expo before and just found out about this one today, kind of ironic there is then a post about it haha. Have to decide if it is worth using 8 hours of vacation from work to go:D:D:D Oh also Im with you on the banana/coral. Thats probably the snake i want the most.

It's gonna depend on the age/size but a baby will probably be 200 for a male like others said. I bought an adult male banana het pied for $450 at a show a few months ago.

The vast majority of bananas are males. Something with the gene is also linked to the sex they produce. I think it's roughly 9/10 bananas produced from a male banana will also be male, along with offspring those produce. They're typically referred to as male makers. I believe the male bananas produced from a female banana will have a normal male/female ratio in their babies.

Not quite
male bananas produced form a male banana are male makers and produce 99% male bananas
male bananas produced from a female banana are female makers and will produce 99% female bananas
this only affects the banana offspring the remaining offspring of what ever else the cluch could produce will be the oppsit sex of the said male or female maker
only the female banana produces normal odds on sex
one big reason female bananas are costly is they are key to producing super bananas which are extreamly costly
