Is there currently still 7 species recognized in this genus along with 5 subspecies belonging to Morelia amethistina? I think there is a debate with these 5 subspecies belonging to Morelia amethistina on weather they are a separate species in the morelia genus, adding to the 7 species. Can someone please clarify?
