    Hello just got this beautiful carpet python at a pet store they don't know what kind is it or its parents. Two ball python breeder not sure either but they told me it is not a normal carpet. Can anyone know by just the pictures?

    Without accurate lineage information you can never know for certain when it comes to carpets because there are a lot of crosses but yours looks like it could be a caramel coastal. That would be my guess from just looking at the snake but again it's just a guess. It's a nice looking carpet either way. Congrats on the new addition.

    Ziggy's right, carpets are impossible to pinpoint without lineage information. Especially with the multiple sub species that are frequently crossed. The striping that she has could be some tiger influence, which is a pattern variation that originated in the coastal carpet line, but that's pure speculation. Either way. She's a beautiful little girl. Congratulations on your new addition! Carpets are wonderful pets. I think their like potato chips. You can't have just one!
