    New Ball Python Owner
I recently rescued a Ball Python (female) and she has been a great eater, mostly docile and enjoys sleeping. However she recently went into her bathing bowl and hasn't come out for over a day. Should I be concerned?

yes and no depending on the reason why your BP is soaking, Ball Pythons will rarely soak so the first thing is to do is to see if there could be a reason why your BP is soaking.

    It can be due to

    Mites.

Lack of security, your snake uses the water dish as an hide.

    Tempertures too high

    Humidity too low

    Too large of a meal

So your job is to proceed by elimination.

You definitely do not want this to persist long term.

Thank you so much, I will check her for mites and see if I need to adjust temps.
