cage and rack system setup.
actually have two questions
is a 24L by 18W by 12H be ok for a adult male ball?
second question is...
my bedroom where i will be keeping the cages and or rack system is at its lowest 70 degrees during the winter months is better to use a cage or rack system for that reason? if i went with cages it would limit me on the number of bp i could have because of space and i cant have cages anywhere else..

i think so. 24x18 is about the length and width of a 32quart tub. 12 high is about twice the height.

70degrees is too low for long periods of time IMO. how are u planning on heating the enclosure? how many BP's do u have or plan on having? u could have 1 or 2 display enclosures for your prettiest snakes and a rack for the rest.
Re: cage and rack system setup.
Flex watt heat tape.... either 3 in or 11 in wide haven't decided..
Going to start off with 1.3 or 1.2.. then go from there.. I don't see owning more than a dozen . Thought was too keep some back so within 10 years maybe 2.8

They don't compare...tanks are for fish ;)
There is almost no work to keeping a rack.
Re: cage and rack system setup.
I agree with Pit....Tanks are quite a bit of work. I started in tanks til I built my first rack. When I outgrew that I bought a bigger one. They are so much easier to use, clean, and keep up with heat and humidity. Get a rack, you won't be disappointed.

OK. As compared to a cage made of melamine regarding heat an humidity... I use to own an breed snakes but used melamine cages ... They held the humidity but where so heavy...
Also I came across c serpents on YouTube watched a couple reviews was thinking of getting their v-70 3 tub ... It's 140 less then the rhino raxx by boaphilies plastic just one less tub... Buying a cage because daughter wants one to show case...
