    Should I take the offer?
So I have been given an offer to purchase an orange dream yellow belly female that is sitting at 300 ish grams and she is healthy and in great condition. I was offered this by someone who I have talked with a while for $150. I know she takes care of her snakes and have seen some of her collection. I am planning on getting a leopard female from her as well, but I'm trying to think if I should get this girl too. I know its all about opinions, but I do want to start a orange dream project in the future, but I don't have much to pair with it now. Would you get her now and eventually get a male to pair with her or wait for another offer to pop up somewhere down the road when the od project would be more relevant to you? I'm trying to figure it out because I don't know if I should put that money toward another snake or get the deal while she still has it.. Thanks for everyone's opinions! :)

Well considering the cheapest yellowbelly orange dream I can find on morphmarket right now is a male with an asking price of $275 I'd say that is a great deal, especially if you're planning on doing orange dream in the future.

If you can afford the animal and have the resources to feed and house it, I don't see the downside.

I saw that as well so I assumed 150 was a steal! Lol but thanks! That's what I was thinking. I have my mind set on a lot of projects so I have to be careful but this is something I could use in a lot of them!

Exactly what I was thinking. I think I will go for it as well as getting the leopard she is letting go of. It will be my first year of breeding this season so I am hoping her and my pastave get up to size soon! :)

Buying a snake is not about the price, yes it might be cheap but the real question is will she fit in your projects?

If she does not fit in your project wouldn't you be better off saving that money to put it toward something that does?

Sadly only YOU can answer this question.

Every now and than I come across some great animal that I know I could get for a great deal problem is if they don't fit in my projects I just don't see the point and I am not one to purchase an animal because it is a great deal just to flip it later because it does not fit future projects.

Sorry if I made it sound like that! It is a snake that I want to use in one of my projects, but as of now I don't have the male I want for her. What I was thinking though was to buy her, get her up to size in a few seasons and then get the male I was thinking of breeding to her. I would never spend money on something I would never use just because it was a good deal. I am very practical with my money and will not spend 1 dollar on something that I don't think could help me in any way. Thanks for that advice though :)

Than if she fits your project get her, not having a male now is irrelevant since you should always get a female first and worry about the male later when the female is about 1000 grams. (male reach maturity faster than female)
